Good News Story – Emily
Emily lives with her mum but has a self-contained space to support her independence.
Emily has required ongoing daily support to maintain her health and wellbeing, support with rehabilitation and stretching, and support to rebuild her independence.
In the beginning of Emily’s recovery, she suffered from uncontrollable leg spasms. Emily has had to re learn how to complete day to day tasks that she previously had done with ease.
In the past 12 months, Emily’s sheer determination and the support from the workers has seen, Increase in Daily independence, increase in Mobily, decrease in spasms. With all of these progressions Emily is reducing her support hours needed and she is very much looking forward to living more independently.
